Grade B1 listed, Nos. 2-4 Church Street, forms an extremely important grouping at the start of Church Street, Portaferry. They were described in the UAHS list of 1969 as “A fine three-storey stucco 18th century house with quoins and large windows, glazing-bars all complete”. Three storey terrace house with 'urban vernacular' appearance and relatively recently inserted shop front. This building may represent an 18th century structure which was raised by a storey c.1840. It is little altered and has special architectural interest. This property now seeks a new owner where the Ulster Architectural Heritage would encourage a sympathetic and conservation led approach to its restoration.
